What is Tesla Optimus

Optimus is a general-purpose, bipedal humanoid robot being developed by Tesla. It is designed to take on repetitive, dangerous or boring tasks and to move through environments built for people.

Tesla first presented the concept at AI Day in August 2021, showed a prototype in September 2022 and unveiled the second generation in December 2023. Always check the latest development news directly with the manufacturer.

FAQ

Questions and answers

Can I hire Tesla Optimus itself?
This website is an independent ROBOTio project, not an offer from Tesla. We record your interest in Optimus and confirm in our quote which humanoid robot is actually available for your event. If you don’t want another model, we handle your enquiry as a consultation.
How do you choose the right robot?
Based on the event type, venue, programme and audience. A compact humanoid suits welcoming guests and photos; a larger robot or the ROBOrevue dance show suits a stage moment. You get our recommendation in the quote.
What does the service include?
The robot, a ROBOTio operator, script and line preparation, transport and on-site technical preparation. The exact scope is agreed per event.
How much does it cost?
The price depends on the model, programme, duration and logistics. We confirm model and scope in an individual quote – we do not publish a fixed price list.
What space and technical setup do you need?
We assess space and technical conditions according to the script. The ROBOrevue show needs at least 12 × 6 m; a single robot needs considerably less.
Do you work outside the Czech Republic?
Yes. We accept international enquiries for individual assessment of transport, local conditions and feasibility. We have delivered events in Slovakia and France, for example.
